Mr. Jeffords is a partner in The Hyman Law Firm, LLP in Florence, South Carolina. He received his B.A. Degree from Wake Forest University in 1970, his J.D. Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1973 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in the same year.

Mr. Jeffords is a member of the Family Law Sections of the ABA, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, South Carolina Bar, and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). He is a former Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee of the South Carolina Bar, Family Law Section, is a former Council member of the South Carolina Family Law Section, is a former Chairman of the Council, is a former Treasurer of the South Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), and has been a speaker at CLE and JCLE Family Law Seminars. He has appeared on the Joan Rivers Show and authored two published articles, one entitled "Paralegals--Their Time Has Come for All of Us", The Bulletin, Spring 1985 published by the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association and "Division of Federal Retirement Plans at Divorce", American Journal of Family Law, Winter 1989.
